2nd shot is nicely captured.
Critical focus is missing in the first shot.

I have my reservations on these two pics:
1. Composition wise..it does not work for me..it crops off parts of the bird/s and the first one is bottom heavy (visually).
2. These birds are not the type to fly away in a hurry .. so you have the time to work out your depth of field which is too small/narrow.
