Nikon D3000 DSLR or Canon EOS 1000D? Which is a better camera to consider? Both I think are great, but I can't decide which to go for. Any suggestions?

Nikon’s D3000 is the company’s latest budget DSLR it’s an ideal choice for beginners or those upgrading from a point-and-shoot.

A great follow-up to the 5D and top-flight full-frame camera, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II delivers the fluid shooting experience and fine photos you expect from a professional model.
